Ferment usually takes around 6 weeks but the results are worth it.\u003cbr\u003eSoft pale red with old ruby and orange highlights. The carbo is fairly pronounced this year with lots of pink\u003cbr\u003efloral and strawberry bubblegum. Its complexity always defies its levity. Fruit tones include watermelon,\u003cbr\u003ered berries, cherry cola and Campari\/red amaro. A whiff of VA lift not unusual to the style. Serve chilled to\u003cbr\u003ehighlight the delicious watermelon\/watermelon rind freshness and bring out the sweet spices. Tannins\u003cbr\u003eare virtually non-existent but a little extra acidity adds length to the rich slurpable fruits. The palate is fresh and has a nice juiciness and deeply concentrated flavours of salty red and purple berries, raspberry bootstraps, sweet spices and a mineral salinity. Mouth-watering\u003cbr\u003eacidity adds length and juiciness, and the surprising present tannins suggest this is capable of much more. A nice example of why Grenache loves sand.
